TGH Discord Moderators are people who previously have moderation experience and are comfortable with handling more leadership responsibilities. Similar to the TGH Discord Junior Moderator position, we're looking for someone with a great sense of humor, patience, and a love of gaming who is not afraid to jump in and get started.
This volunteer position reports to the Discord Community Manager and is a remote position. The time commitment for this position is entirely left up to you as we are extremely appreciative of how you're committing your time to the*gameHERs. As a reference, many of our moderators check on the server periodically throughout the day.

ThegameHERs is a women-led community dedicated to amplifying and centering the voices of women, femme-identifying, and non-binary gamers who are comfortable in spaces that center women. This is a sexist-free space for the casual players, the hardcore gamers, the techies, the streamers, the designers, the cosplayers, the developers, programmers, and more. What you'll do here:
- Ensure the*gameHERs Discord community is a positive and welcoming environment through moderating the server and enforcing guidelines to community members using basic and advanced actions
- Contribute and facilitate discussions and conversations in the*gameHERs' Discord server
- Work with the Discord Community Manager and the Mod Squad in developing content and community engagement strategies and ideas
- Manage ModMail requests and answer any questions that community members may have
- Host and/or support community events
- Be a mentor or source of help for Junior Moderators
We'd love to hear from you if you have/are:
- Previous experience moderating a discord server and/or experience in the gaming industry, or if you have good performance as a TGH Junior Moderator and have completed the TGH Moderator training track
- Passionate about the*gameHERs community
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- A proactive person, able to foresee potential issues before they arise
- Positive can-do attitude with strong initiative and follow-through
- Tech savvy and able to adapt to new tools
- Excellent team player with the ability to build, foster, and nurture strong relationships
